ABOUT JOY

The virtual exhibition showcased as a visual display of artworks is curated by us: MA students in Art & Design at the University of Huddersfield. As a team of creative practitioners, we each took our chosen theme of 'portraits' and reflected on that using our own style and specialist skills. 

The photographs taken by the Photographers in the group, are used as a base for our individual artwork, open for personal manipulation.

A 3D walk-in space and 3D visuals showcase the artwork responding to the 'portraits'.

The theme was chosen to centre our project around the long-serving traders, who are the heart of Huddersfield. The main goal of our exhibition is to bring joy back to the people of Huddersfield, within the current, unexpected circumstances.
